When members of a team are communicating and working together effectively, we can have a productive team adding tremendous value to the organization. If not, we could have an ineffective team who spend more time positioning and posturing themselves than they do working together. Sound familiar?
Since individuals make up a team, their unique talent and behaviors are also a part of that team. Two keys to effective teams are awareness and understanding. By helping each team member understand their own behaviors and motivations, as well as becoming more aware of the communication styles of other team members, we will increase communication and decrease tension, which will ultimately lead to increased productivity!
